Guestlist Network picks are the best picks! FOR THE FINEST INDIE Tune-Yards @ O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire Wednesday 15th February ONE OF 2011's BIGGEST standouts, tUnE-yArDs (AKA: Merrill Garbus) will be gracing Londontown with her powerful lyricism and insane stage antics on 15th February. For an idea of what the show will be like, think ethereal and haunting vocals à la Florence Welsh, covered in face paint, all while being accompanied by tribal drums pounding in the background. Based on every live performance we've seen of tUnE-yArDs, the show is sure to be absolutely out of this world. FOR THE FINEST HIP-HOP Ghostpoet @ KOKO Wednesday 15th February GHOSTPOET's DEBUT ALBUM, Peanut Butter Blues & Melancholy Jam, (random name we know!) is a down-tempo slew of socially-conscious topics ranging from alcoholism and urban youth to tales of late-20's blues and troubles. His aesthetic of grounded, dark realism balanced with crisp beats keep his performances both deep and danceable. It's a unique direction that's rarely heard on UK airwaves and an unmissable show for anyone who is a fan of underground hip-hop. FOR THE FINEST DRUM N BASS Jamais Vu @ The Horse & Groom Every Sunday from the 19th FINALLY, a new place for us to hang out and enjoy some good music to wrap up the weekend. Get ready for your weekly dose of liquid beats and funky basslines to be held at The Horse & Groom in East London. FOR THE FINEST DUBSTEP SBTRKT @ KOKO Thursday 1st March THE ELUSIVE, tribal mask- wearing London DJ has been one of the most talked about names in all of the underground dubstep scene, ever since his massive hit 'Wildfire' was released in late 2011. Although the talented DJ and producer likes to keep his personal life out of the limelight, that hasn't stopped his tracks from being hugely appreciated by all those who know the world of bass- oriented electronic music. Get down to KOKO on March 1st to witness one of our favourites!
