40 DnB / DUBSTEP / BREAKS Club Sessions Vol. 4 Liquid V ALBUM OF THE MONTH GUESTLIST Issue 36 / FEBRUARY 2012 RECOMMENDS HYBRID MINDS Hybrid Minds have entered the Drum and Bass world in the past year with beautifully crafted tunes. - Featuring Calibre, Peshay, MR. Joseph & Level 2 Head Honcho Bryan Gee has proudly released his labels forth installment of the Liquid V Sessions, compiled and presented by Kabuki. The album is a fusion of soulful liquid drum and bass, and with 20 brand new tracks from artists across the globe, it's clear to see that V are aiming to keep moving forward and burst into 2012 with a bang. The mix is a good example of the movement within the liquid scene in the last 12 months, offering a minimal sound and proving that this is still a huge influence on drum and bass music today. There are stand out tracks from Calibre and Peshay which fufill our old school needs, mixed with fresher faces on the scene such as dRamatic and Kabuki. It doesn't matter what type of drum and bass you are into: the album is a must. Hybrid Minds are the newly formed liquid duo who have impressed everyone in the past year. Sensa and Haste, already known for their jump-up productions and DJing, have teamed up to deliver some of the finest easy going drum and bass the scene has ever experienced. Shaping the new wave of liquid drum and bass they have combined deep beats with impressive vocals. Their music has been recognised by the biggest names in the Drum and Bass community. Hospital Records have included their track 'Seasons' in one of their recent podcasts. They have tracks featured on national radio and presented by some of the most respectable names in the scene. They've featured in Hype's drum and bass show on Kiss FM and John B's podcast. They release music on various labels such as Fokuz Recordings and Audio Danger on vinyl as well as digitally. Many famous DJs support their music and this would surely make them the next big thing in Drum and Bass. Their music has been played by Netsky, S.P.Y and Hype which suggests they have already influenced the electronic music world. They are also owners of Motion Sensor Records, one of the big labels focused on their previous jump up sound. We recommend keeping an eye on these guys in 2012 because there will be lots more quality production coming out on various labels. If you enjoy the deeper and melodic side of drum and bass make sure you check their latest mix as well. hybridminds EVENT PREVIEW We Fear Silence presents Shogun Audio 18th Feb @ Cable DUB STEP TOUR SCHEDULE SBTRKT SCHEDULE Wednesday 22nd February @The Plug, Sheffield Thursday 23rd February @ HMV Institute, Manchester Friday24th February @ Leeds Uni Stylus, Leeds Sunday 26th February @ The Arches, Glasgow Cable welcomes the return of Shogun Audio for 'We Fear Silence.'
