a d v er t i s e m en t They call it artrageous! and the term aptly fits the extravaganza that is one of the North Shore's most well-attended, signature events. Three-hundred Jubilee Drive, Peabody, is the place to be May 12, for a night of revelry with friends, live and silent auctions, surprises and exceptionally tasty eats and cocktails. Artrageous!26 will be hosted by Brookwood Financial Partners with lead sponsorship from Windover Construction Inc. Like last year's event, it will have an uber-cool New York City gallery feel – perfect to display spectacular auction artworks. No gift certificates for a lube job at this auction; the majority of the 250-plus items to be offered are original artworks contributed by some of the region's top art and design talent, emerging artists and many Montserrat faculty, alumni and students. Photographer Olivia Parker of Manchester, www.oliviaparker. com is this year's featured artist. The event also showcases student and faculty artists creating "Art in the Moment," which last year let guests star in an animated short, among other opportunities. Beyond the chance to acquire great work, all proceeds benefit scholarships for Montserrat students. Honorary Chair, William Howard, CEO of Beverly Cooperative Bank, promises this year's event will continue the tradition of elegance and surprise. "It is an amazing event attended by everyone from serious art collectors to those that support the importance of student scholarships and those dedicated to both. You never know what to expect until you walk in the door – each year's event is unique and different." Auction Co-Chairs Liz Dellicker and Amy Bowen of Manchester are creating a who's who committee to help pull the event together and wow the 650-plus expected attendees. A preview reception will be announced, or preview on-line and buy tickets at www.montserrat.edu/auction26 Photograph by Olivia Parker, "Passing."
