Advanced Productivity Software (APS) announced the launch of iDTE, a mobile application of the company’s flagship time tracking solution, DTE Axiom. Designed exclusively for the iPhone, iDTE enables users (attorneys, legal staff, financial officers and IT administrators) to record billable hours, create entries, capture phone calls and track emails while on-the-go. Altep, Inc. has released the latest version of Inspicio. The enhanced application now offers DupliTags, which can help make legal document review easier, more efficient and more consistent than ever before. DupliTags reduce the time needed to review document collections by providing an automated means of tagging duplicate documents in a consistent manner. When a DupliTag is applied to a document, all exact duplicates of that document automatically receive the same tag. Altman Weil, Inc. and Project Leadership Associates, Inc. announced they have signed a formal strategic alliance agreement. Both firms provide strategic advisory and consulting services to the global legal market. and Applied Technology Group, LLC announced the availability of ExpertImage Version 7.8, the latest upgrade of the company’s imaging technology. Version 7.8 adds new workflow integration features, enhanced PDF viewing capabilities, advanced administrator functionality and more flexible searching. BenQ announced the lamp-less, PC-free Joybee GP1 Mini LED Projector. Debuting as the world’s first pocket projector with lamp-free LED technology and integrated USB video reader, the tiny 1.4lb (640g) Joybee is packed with advanced features to effortlessly project a variety of multimedia applications. BigHand announced that it has wholly acquired nFlow Software Ltd, a leading innovator in the provision of digital dictation technology. Catalyst Repository Systems announced the release of its Fast Track Data Overlay Service. The new service gives clients full control over their documents and metadata with the ability to update data directly via FTP with no waiting. The service can be used to update production information or to correct multiple records at the same time. 28 Peer to Peer Cognition Technologies announced that Microsoft Corp. has licensed some of its proprietary semantic technologies and will be using them to enhance Bing and other applications within Microsoft. Specifically, Microsoft will incorporate Cognition’s comprehensive and robust Semantic Map of the English language. CommVault announced the immediate availability of a cloud-optimized version of its Simpana 8 software. CommVault customers now have access to an integrated cloud storage connector that will enable them to move backup and archive data into and out of private and public cloud storage, all without the added complexity of scripting or the addition of an expensive cloud gateway appliance. CT Summation, part of CT, a Wolters Kluwer business, announced the general availability of CaseVault Precision, an intelligent case assessment and review service that provides rapid insight into the most important facts during investigation and document review while creating savings of 25-50 percent of standard industry review expenditures. DocAuto announced the release of WorkSite Exporter version 4.0. This new full version release of WorkSite Exporter has been rebuilt from the ground up using cutting-edge technology to deliver a significantly improved interface which provides better feedback about export processes as they are happening; and the ability to set the file created and accessed dates at the operating system level to correspond to the dates in the WorkSite database. Document Technologies, Inc. (DTI) announced the addition of 132 Terabytes of storage from BlueArc Corporation to support DTI’s growing e-discovery service offering. The expansion represents an almost 50 percent increase in total data storage space at the company’s National Technology Center in Atlanta. Esquire Interactive announced the introduction of WordPrESQ, an all-in- one website/blog solution designed exclusively for solos and small law firms. Based on the world’s leading blog platform, WordPrESQ contains a content management system (CMS) managed through a web-based admin console. Through the admin console, law firms can easily create new Web pages and navigation links, add pictures, articles and firm news, change or add attorney profiles, and add slide-shows and video. FileTrail announced the release of FileTrail 4.0. Frayman Group announced the filing of multiple patents related to automating and streamlining the conflicts of interest search, management and clearance processes.
